Island of the Dolls (Isla de las Muñecas), Mexico

Legend has it that the island’s former caretaker hung the dolls to ward off the spirit of a girl who drowned nearby. Hoia Baciu Forest, Romania
Hoia Baciu Forest may look just like any other forest, as it actually is, but it comes with its share of tales of paranormal activity, and even UFO sightings. Strangely enough, these tales are not the weirdest thing about the forest, it is The Clearing. There is a patch in the middle of the forest called The Clearing, where nothing grows. For some reason, plants simply cease to grow within this patch of land.

Well, this sprawling mansion in San Jose is filled with architectural oddities: staircases that lead to nowhere, doors that open into walls, and windows overlooking other rooms. As the story goes, Sarah Winchester, the architect of this mansion, wanted to please the spirits she believed were haunting her. There are guided tours available.
